Q: Why Should My Children Learn Japanese?
A: Studies show that bilingualism strengthens a child’s cognitive development, makes them more flexible thinkers, and benefits their long-term academic achievement. It also strengthens their social, emotional, and interpersonal development. Besides:
• It introduces your child to a new world.
• Open new business and job opportunities
• Japan is famous for its manga and anime, in which your child might be interested
• To help children of Japanese heritage who grow up in the U.S. to build better emotional connections with their parents and grandparents.
Q: Which Level Should I or My Kid Start?
A: The curriculum map above describes the topics covered in each level in great details. If your child has never learned Japanese before, it is suggested to start from Level A.
